Snakehips in our DNA
A Dance & Technology Event
Snakehips in our DNA is a free, open-gallery experience where visitors can explore the trajectory of dance from the Harlem Renaissance to the present through a stunning video installation of Black movement artists. This choreographic media collage is commissioned by the Apollo Theatre in New York City and conceived by director/dramaturg Talvin Wilks in collaboration with new media artist LaJuné McMillian.
Jacob’s Pillow is exploring the intersection of dance and technology, with year-round projects and special events, and a reimagined Doris Duke Theatre in 2025.
